Monica Giovachino
Monica Giovachino leads efforts to modernize CNA's business processes and corporate infrastructure. She works across the organization to foster collaboration, manage change, and promote innovation in support of CNA's modernization plans and other strategic initiatives. Giovachino works with CNA's research divisions to ensure new processes, tools, and technologies increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our research programs and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
Giovachino joined CNA in 1994, supporting research on military infrastructure, readiness, logistics, and environmental issues. She helped establish and grow CNA's Institute for Public Research by helping homeland security, public health, and emergency management clients assess their capabilities, prepare for emergencies and critical incidents, and learn from their real-world operations. She previously served as the director of CNA's Center for Critical Incident Analysis and the managing director of CNA's Safety and Security Division. She has received CNA's Board of Trustees Award and CNA's Phil E. DePoy Award for Analytical Excellence.
Giovachino has a Master of Science in environmental engineering from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in physics from Virginia Tech. She is a certified Project Management Professional.
