SCIENCE ON THE FLIGHT DECK
STRIKE AND AIR WARFARE Program
CNA scientists contribute independent analyses to the testing of new aviation systems and the development of tactics to optimize the effectiveness of existing aircraft. The more than 30 analysts in the Strike and Air Warfare Program include field representatives deployed to key locations for aviation testing and tactics:
- TOPGUN/Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center
- Joint Strike Fighter (F-35) Operational Test Team
- Carrier Strike Group 12 (Air Wing 8 aboard USS Gerald R. Ford)
- Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Nine
You worked tirelessly to leverage aircraft data … Your professionalism and commitment to excellence were instrumental in ensuring the safe operational service of the F/A-18 and EA-18G Fleet, keeping our naval aviators out of harm’s way.
Rear Admiral F.R. Luchtman, Commander, Naval Safety Center, to Dr. Jennifer Scherer
