Elizabeth Collins
Elizabeth Collins is the Program Manager of the Center for Naval Analyses at CNA. In this role, she serves as a liaison with the Department of the Navy, managing internal and external contract-related issues, leading process improvements, and managing tactical and strategic operations. She began her CNA career in the Institute for Public Research, serving as Operations Manager and then Deputy Director for a seven-year, $27 million project for the U.S. Department of Education.
In 2015, Collins transitioned to the Center for Naval Analyses, the federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) for the Department of the Navy. She initially supported the wargaming team, and her role evolved into a senior advisor position for the FFRDC as a whole, with a focus on the Scientific Analyst Program. Collins become the FFRDC’s first Program Manager in 2021.
Prior to coming to CNA, Collins held positions as executive editor and managing editor for several news organizations, including SmartBrief, McGraw-Hill, Federal Employees News Digest, and FDAnews. She holds a Master of Arts in journalism from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of Virginia. She is certified as a Project Management Professional.
