Karin Drinkhall
Karin Drinkhall oversees CNA’s Office of Communications, which is responsible for leading the organization’s internal and external communications, including media relations, social media, branding, CNA Talks podcast, InDepth blog, website, intranet, employee newsletter, graphic design, writing, communications campaigns, and other marketing collateral.
Drinkhall has nearly 25 years of experience leading communications counsel, strategy, planning, execution, and measurement for US government sponsors and clients. Prior to joining CNA, she spent 17 years managing communications contracts in the defense and federal government contracting sector, supporting various clients across the Department of Defense as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Justice, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Transportation, and Department of Energy.
She holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) certifications. She has been an active member of the Public Relations Society of America for over a decade. In 2024, she served as president of the board of directors for the society’s National Capital Chapter.
Drinkhall has a Master of Arts in Latin American studies from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from UCLA. She also possesses certifications in Section 508 accessibility standards and quality management systems (ISO 9001 and CMMI).
