Lauren Hagy
Research Specialist
Lauren Hagy is an expert in targeted violence, radicalization, hate crimes, and information disorder. Her work at CNA focuses on preventing targeted violence and cognitive approaches to countering false and misleading information.
Her past research explored narratives used by extremist social media influencers to promote their ideologies online and the role social media plays in mobilization to violence. Before joining CNA, Hagy worked with researchers and law enforcement conducting open-source research and investigations.
Hagy is studying for a Master of Arts in the Security Studies Program at Georgetown University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors in international relations from Boston University.
