
Sabrina Verleysen
Sabrina Verleysen is an expert in government relations and Indonesian civilian-military relations. In her role at CNA, she is dual-hatted: She supports the Vice President of Strategic Development to execute business development activities, strategic initiatives, events, and engagements with current and prospective clients and sponsors. And she also contributes to CNA’s work to improve military operational effectiveness. She regularly engages with allies and partners on this topic and contributes to bilateral exchanges and workshops.
Prior to joining CNA, Verleysen's work focused on community engagement in Indonesia. She completed a Fulbright grant in the province of Central Java, where she taught English at a madrasah and established a nonprofit to provide English books and resources to high schools in rural areas of the Indonesian archipelago. She started her career at The Cohen Group, where she supported private sector clients to establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the US government and military as well as abroad.
Verleysen has a Master of Arts in international affairs policy and analysis from American University’s School of International Service and a Bachelor of Arts in communications and Spanish language and literature from Villanova University. She speaks some Bahasa Indonesia and Spanish.
