CNA Names Jennifer Griffin as Vice President of the Resources and Force Readiness Division
CNA announced today that Dr. Jennifer Griffin has accepted the position of vice president of its Resources and Force Readiness Division. Griffin has worked at CNA since 2011 as an analyst and director in the Marine Corps and Defense Workforce Program, which she has led for the past five years. CNA operates the Center for Naval Analyses—the federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) of the Department of the Navy—as well as the Institute for Public Research.
“Over the past 14 years that I have worked with Jennifer, her ability to confront and overcome challenging situations has always stood out to me,” said Jeffery Peterson, executive vice president of the Center for Naval Analyses. “Her outstanding leadership has led to improved research quality. And her deep knowledge of military personnel data will be crucial to CNA’s future support to the forces.”
Griffin earned a doctorate in economics, specializing in labor economics and econometrics, from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics and mathematical economics from California State University, Long Beach.
“I am honored to inherit an exceptional team with a strong track record of providing analysis that enables our sponsors to make efficient and effective resource decisions for force readiness,” Griffin said.
Griffin’s work has focused on military manpower and personnel, including recruiting, talent management, compensation, retention, and program evaluation. She also has deep expertise in the military reserve component, having served as CNA’s Scientific Analyst to the Marine Corps Reserve Affairs Division. As director of CNA’s Marine Corps and Defense Workforce Program, she oversaw a portfolio of studies for Marine Corps, Army, and Department of Defense sponsors in recruiting, retention, compensation, career paths, program evaluation, and many other topics. She also currently serves as CNA’s Scientific Analyst to the Marine Corps Deputy Commandant of Manpower and Reserve Affairs.
