Marina Chumakov Rozenblat, Ph.D.

Chief Scientist of Data Management and Analytics

Marina Chumakov Rozenblat is an expert in data management, cybersecurity, uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), aeronautical information, and aviation applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning. In over a decade of support to the FAA Office of NextGen and other organizations, she has led projects in cybersecurity and AI and machine learning for drones and aviation, data governance of air traffic information exchange models, and systems engineering of legacy system modernization. Rozenblat’s operational expertise is in UAS traffic management, traffic flow management, and aeronautical information systems. Her technical expertise includes information data modeling of aeronautical information, collecting and tailoring system requirements, and designing use cases and concepts. Over her career, Rozenblat worked with several International Civil Aviation Organization panels, work groups, and advisory groups in supporting the development of international guidance materials for information management and UAS.

Prior to joining CNA, Rozenblat was a ORISE Fellow at the Food and Drug Administration, Center for Devices and Radiological Health, where she studied ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. She also served in scientific consult evaluations and analysis of deficiencies of 510(k) and pre-investigational device exemptions of total joint replacement device submissions.

Rozenblat has a Ph.D. in bioengineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
