Jessica Smrekar
Jessica Smrekar is a specialist in assessment, research, and technical support for both public health programs and emergency preparedness, response, and recovery operations. She has provided on site planning and technical assistance to multiple District government agencies during the COVID-19 pandemic, most notably assisting in the creation and execution of grocery distribution sites throughout the District and providing virtual and on site technical support with COVID-19 testing programs to District public and public charter schools. Throughout her pandemic work, Ms. Smrekar received multiple Institute for Public Research Awards - Deployer recognitions. Along with technical support, Ms. Smrekar as also supported multiple emergency activation assessments, exercises, and planning efforts nationwide. Ms. Smrekar has a Master's of Science in Biodefense from George Mason University, as well as a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Saint Vincent College.
