Biographies

Shawn Talmadge, Deputy Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has more than 25 years of experience in the emergency response and homeland security fields at the state and local levels, where he has responded to numerous state and regional level disasters.

Lars Hanson, Research Scientist at CNA, and an expert in supply chains, infrastructure systems, and natural resources. Lars supports the federal government as well as Regional, State, and Local governments in performing supply chain assessments focused on emergency management and catastrophic disaster scenarios, to support both blue-sky planning work and real-world disaster responses.
