Education
As shown in Table 5.12, 98 percent of FY 2002 Selected Reserve enlisted
members have a high school diploma or alternative credential (Tiers 1
and 2), compared to 90 percent of the comparably aged civilian labor force.
Comparing Table 5.6 (education levels of Selected Reserve accessions)
with Table 5.12 suggests that a significant number of enlisted members
gain college experience while in the Selected Reserve (6 percent of NPS
accessions versus 24 percent of enlisted members).
