Characteristics of Reserve Component Warrant OfficersIn FY 1998, the USCG Reserve accessed a total of 24 new warrant officers; their end-strength was 216. The proportion of both USCG warrant officer accessions and warrant officers who were female was
higher than the comparable rate for DoD. Any differences between the USCG and overall DoD information should be interpreted with caution given the small numbers of USCG Reserve warrant officer accessions and
warrant officers (Table 8.18).
