Marital
Status
Just
under half of Selected Reserve members are married (Table 5.11). This
proportion is lower than for the comparable civilian population (55 percent),
and for enlisted members in the Active Component (50 percent). The proportion
of married female Selected Reserve members (35 percent) is much lower
than the proportion of married female civilians (53 percent). This difference
is in part explained by the younger age of women enlisted members compared
to their civilian counterparts.
